Assistant Manager Position

 

Assist in the training and development of all employees within the store.  Assist the manager in ensuring good employee relations and generating a high level of morale and enthusiasm throughout the store.  Ensure customers receive the best possible service at all times.  Be an example to every employee showing professionalism when dealing with customers.  Maintain adequate precautions for security of premises, stock, employees, and customers.  Maintain high standards of stock care and cleanliness following the daily cleaning check list.  Ensure markdowns are completely accurately, hang tagged and merchandise is regrouped in sales area.  Assist manager with payroll and budgeted hours.  Maintain high standards of store housekeeping.  Maintain high standards and efficient running of the store during the manager's absence.

·          Answering phone inquiries about tenant phone numbers, mall hours, and lost & found

·          Providing directions to visitors

·          Explaining tax provisions to Canadians

·          Responding to and processing gift certificate requests

·          Issuing wheelchairs and infant strollers

·          Cash handling and record keeping

·          Registering and recording lost & found items

·          Serving as the communications point for weather emergencies

·          Relaying information or requests to Maintenance, Janitorial, and Security representatives

·          Assisting marketing manager in routing mail, or assembling table-top displays

·          Processing tenant requests for copies. Postage, and faxes

 

Scheduling:

                This is a part-time position, involving nights and some weekends availability.
